Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week comes to a close with two of the best male designers in the business. Yes, I’m talking about Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. Both men design fabulously wearable clothes for everyday women with impeccable tailoring and attention to detail. I know that whenever I go shopping with my Mom that we will always end up in the Ralph Lauren section. This brand resonated with her in the 80′s and to this day wears his clothes daily. I love designers that never forget who they are designing for and never disappoint. And today we saw two of the best in the industry. Charlotte Ronson feminizes her grungy designs this Fall with ladylike refinements. Fall is all about a “wardrobe for a real girl,” the young designer says. Once again I am loving the boho chic inspired pieces. The flowing fabrics mixed with rich leathers and the simple hair and makeup. Oh and let’s not forget the elbow length gloves that somehow mix the past eras of the 20′s and 70′s together perfectly. Charlotte also describes her designs as having a “retro, ski feel” which is a combination I have never seen before. Simply lovely. Celebrity fans included, Russell Simmons, Nicky Hilton and Kim Kardashian’s BFF, Jonathan Cheban sitting front row. Comment below and let me know what you think…
Nicole Miller’s Fall runway show at New York Fashion Week 2012 was visually stunning. I am a sucker for anything boho chic, western or involving hats so she pushed all of my fashion buttons. The beautifully feminine prints juxtaposed with the hard leather jackets were simply gorgeous. However, my favorite piece was the band jacket. For some reason I never get tired of this look. And while the collection is reminiscent of the 70′s, it also meshed a futuristic vibe with the colors and textures. Nicole used Jimi Hendrix, Marianne Faithfull and Wall Street as her inspirations. This truly is a beautiful collection. Wow… this was totes cute!!! What is your favorite piece? Comment Below…
