The Best of Mark Fast at London Fashion Week

Posted on 20 Feb 2012 at 8:47am

Mark Fast showed his collection at London Fashion Week today with a color palette ranging from blush, muted greys, camel brown, black and white stripes to a beautiful jewel toned purple. Whilst I liked the thick knitted sweaters and sweater dresses, it wasn’t anything I hadn’t seen before. The makeup was very plain with a natural face and nude lips which kept the focus on the clothing. Paired with nude Christian Louboutin shoes and messy braids kept the collection understated yet fashion forward. My favorite of the entire collection was the purple mixed with black at the end of the show. It had a very 20′s flapper feel to the esthetic and the mix of casual and dressy was interesting to look at. Plus you wouldn’t need to buy any jewelry with these pieces. Comment below and let me know what you thought of the Mark Fast Ready to Wear Fall Winter 2012 London.

Charlotte Ronson Fall 2012

Posted on 12 Feb 2012 at 5:54pm

Charlotte Ronson feminizes her grungy designs this Fall with ladylike refinements. Fall is all about a “wardrobe for a real girl,” the young designer says. Once again I am loving the boho chic inspired pieces. The flowing fabrics mixed with rich leathers and the simple hair and makeup. Oh and let’s not forget the elbow length gloves that somehow mix the past eras of the 20′s and 70′s together perfectly. Charlotte also describes her designs as having a “retro, ski feel” which is a combination I have never seen before. Simply lovely. Celebrity fans included, Russell Simmons, Nicky Hilton and Kim Kardashian’s BFF, Jonathan Cheban sitting front row. Comment below and let me know what you think…

Dressing Diaries – Part 2

Posted on 31 Jul 2010 at 9:33pm

So I went to dinner the other night with some friends and it was so hot outside that nothing would do but shorts or a cute dresss.  And since we were going to a Country Club, I figured I better take a bath and put on my Sunday best.  Here is the outfit breakdown…

1.  $25 Embroidery Dress from Forever 21.

2. $40 Candies Red Patent Leather Sandals from Kohls.

3.  $5.80 Large Silver Flower Ring from Forever 21.

So, this simple ensemble totals under 70 bucks and is easy to wear, doesn’t wrinkle and red shoes… Voila!  Instant Sexy!  Tell me what you think of this dinner with friends outfit and submit your own and I will post them.  Remember, have fun dressing!
