Recently I received a PR email regarding a new denim collection that is suppose to be for the new breed of recession fashionistas. “They retail for under $100 and will be hitting the floors at Bloomingdales next week and over 60 top boutiques across the country. Recession Denim was featured last week in WWD as a denim company doing extremely well in this tough economy.” Is $100 a recession priced jean? Sometimes I feel like the fashion designers are so out of touch with what is happening that a cheap pair of jeans is $100!
This Tuxedo Jean was my favorite of the collection but if I am going to fork out $100 for a pair of jeans then I would rather rummage through the sale rack at Nordstroms, where you can find some awesome deals or get a cute pair from Forever 21 for around $25 bucks. You can visit the website at www.recessiondenim.com and let me know what you think?

I think NOT worth it! $100 is not a Recession Jean ;(
