While everyone likes the touch and feel of 100% cotton, NOT everyone likes the 160% price increase from 2010 to 2011, the dangerous insecticides used in production and one of the dirtiest plants around. Yuck! That doesn’t sound so snugly and comfy to me anymore. Well don’t fret my little fashionista’s, I have found some super cute and comfy alternatives that are great for the environment, great for your bank account and certainly great for your peace of mind!

We see them day in day out: undergarment faux pas. Visible panty lines…exposed bra straps…peek-a-boo thongs. Recovering from a little fashion “oops” is one thing… committing an undergarment atrocity on the regular is quite another. After 20+ years in the business of fitting both women and men in their undergarments, we’ve seen people suffer through a variety of mishaps. But for women, most of the no-no’s come down to that twin-cupped revolution…the bra!

1. Never wear a black bra under a white top…EVER. Well, maybe if you’re Madonna or Lady Gaga.
2. The right amount of cleavage is a very sexy thing. What’s not sexy is when too much breast tissue billows out of the top making it seem like you’re wearing a bra that’s three sizes too small.
3. Slippery straps are a fashion no-no. They make you look sloppy and unkempt and are a clear indication that you’re bra is not working out for you.
4. Don’t forget about gravity. Wearing a bra is not just a matter of appropriateness it’s a necessity. After babies, a little weight gain and general aging, your breasts are simply not what they used to be.
5. You’ve got some very special back bulge. We’re not talking about those few extra pounds gained over the dreary winter…if there is a build-up of tissue around the underarms or below your bra band, your body is screaming for a proper fitting. We’re also confident that you’re seriously uncomfortable.
6. If nude isn’t an option in your undergarment drawer, you’re committing fashion atrocities left and right. Nude is the color to wear under just about everything. You should not see the outline of your bra through your top – unless you’re wearing something sheer.
7. Your summer style means that just about everyone knows what color bra you’re wearing. It’s the age old dilemma when wearing low necklines or tank tops: how to hide the top of your bra? You can try layering or double-sided fashion tape, which is a woman’s style essential. Another option is to go for a bandeau, balconette or demi bra.
8. Matching the correct style of bra with your outfit. If you’re wearing a halter top or an evening dress with off the shoulder sleeves, you’ll need a corresponding bra so that the only focus is on that fabulous ensemble you’re wearing.
9. You only have two breasts. So if for some reason someone is seeing four, that’s a major concern. Generally it means that your bra is way tight and it’s pushing your breast tissue upwards creating the illusion that you’re rocking a side-show act.
10. Stay smooth by embracing the new lace. Let’s face it – while t-shirt and contouring bras have the smoothness we need, they may lack the sexiness we desire. Sometimes lace can be a bit bulky under clingy fabrics, but many of the new three-part cup and cut and sew bras provide optimal coverage with flirty appeal. A bonus: the extra seam on these bras helps with controlling and centering breast tissue.

Kimberly Senette, 23 from New Orleans was held in direct contempt of court because the judge said her pants were too low and showed off her panties and the top of her buttocks! The women was there to advise her younger brother to take a plea bargain when the judge took offense to her wardrobe. When the judge questioned her about her shorts, Senette said her pants were riding low because she had been forced to remove her belt while going through security at the court’s entrance, according to the Smoking Gun.

While I wouldn’t go to court in a tshirt and shorts, in her defense it is hotter than haitis in New Orleans right now and Parrish county is one of the poorest places I have seen. Maybe the courts should provide a uniform like the robes they wear so that everyone could be judged equally!

Virtually unknown actress, Rooney Mara is set to join the cast of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo “ along side of Daniel Craig (James Bond Star) and Robin Wright. I heard that the director David Fincher was pushing for an unknown face but that Sony wanted to use someone more bankeable for the epic trilogy such as Emma Watson, Carrie Mulligan, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, or Ellen Page. Rooney may be unknown to the public but Director, David Fincher has already cast her in “The Social Network,” a drama about the founders of Facebook due in theaters Oct. 1. Guess Sony Pictures lost that battle when they announced today that Mara, 25, will play Lisbeth Salander, a fearless genius tormented by a terrible childhood, in the crime thriller based on the first book in Stieg Larsson’s best-selling series.

I think we all know the answer to that question as Hollywood kids garner huge films, tv shows and music contracts while no name talents go unnoticed daily. Here are a few pedigree facts about Rooney Mara that you may not know…

Hey, maybe David wants season tickets to the New York Giants games?  Sometimes season tickests can be harder to get than a leading Hollywood role. I’m sure this won’t go unnoticed by the higher ups at the NFL.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo begins filming in Sweden next month and is due out Dec. 21, 2010. I think I’ll read the book first… what about you?

Mad Men’s Costume Designer, Janie Bryant is teaming up with Maidenform to make undergarments that help women look and feel better in their clothes. Okay, so if the world hasn’t had their fill of Keeping up with the Kardashians or Kourtney and Khloe take Miami then the fembot sisters won’t be satisfied until you wear them on your back. Literally!

Set to debut in 2011, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian have joined forces with Australian designer Bruno Schiavi’s Jupi Corp. to design a line of clothing, home and accessories. But let’s not stop there. If all goes well they plan on branching out into luggage, shoes and kid’s fashion. The sisters say they are drawing off the fact that they come in all shapes and sizes. “All three of us have similar bones, but we have different shapes and sizes,” Khloe explains. “I’m tall, Kim is curvy and Kourtney is petite — and we know how to dress up our best assets.”
